v4.20 Custom Selection Size Changes Slightly

• Zoom out to fit a large image to the screen, e.g. 31%
• Create a custom selection with Shift C — I used 320 x 240
• Shift C to check the size of the selection
• Now changed to 321 x 241, or 319 x 239, etc.

Confirmed. I get 321 x 239.
It seems more a dialog presentation problem, although a 'Crop to Selection' makes the wrong size of course.
But this new setting is not saved. After disabling the selection by clicking next to it; close and open the bitmap; even after saving the wrong sized selection, closing IV and start this again : Shift-C comes up with 320 x240.
I even moved the selection to another area, so with X-Y offsets, then another Shift-C. But these values were not saved.

is there a fix for this? this is the first time i've seen the problem with 4.20, and i'd be willing to swear it wasn't there a few months ago... i've tried several sizes, several orientations, and even specific numbers for size, and they are almost all coming out 1-2 pixels off, usually (but not exclusively) in the vertical numbers: 1500 x 1200 becomes 1500 x 1199, 1200 x 800 is 1200 x 799, etc... if you attempt to change the height by dragging the selection box, the box changes in 2-3pixel increments, never a single pixel.

EDIT: just installed irfanview 4.10, and my ability to create specific aspect ratios and sizes has returned. it appears something is bonkers in 4.20, at least for me. ideas?
