    Slides and sounds

I wanted to focus on the slideshow option, when combining with soundfiles.
Soon I found things that were not straightforward, so I decided to check this out.
But after some tests of some basic combinations the results were already too much in data, to make this a simple and short topic.
So I decided to compose an own HTML-page about this, on which I can involve reactions, and continue the test with more
change of inputs and settings and combinations.

During this process I found out that IV writes a 'Slideshow.lst' in its root, but that IV isn't able to open such a file.
Message : "Can't read file header". A bit odd, I think.

Interesting. I found the process frustrating when I first tried something with sound - it still is. Good to have some sort of log, thanks.
        Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"
        ---------------------
        Lose: Fail to keep
        Loose: Not tight

        ---------------------
        Plurals do not require apostrophes

          Updated.
And I also wondered : what will happen if the slideshow is set to loop, and the show is compiled to an .exe-file..
The exe-file still contains the single files involved. So it seemed ok.
But it ended in a freeze, while losing the taskbar. I had to make a reboot.

Testing will be continued. This time with combinations of 1 soundfile with 2 or more bitmaps.
To have survey in the test, one bitmap will be a JPG, the other one a PNG.

Changed tactics and inverted the original bitmap to a second one with a different name.
Here you can find the result of the tryout exported as exe-format.
Delay time is tuned to about half the of the time of the soundtrack.
For details, I've updated the slideshow page.

Yep, sorry, I should have warned.
I removed this section, because it appeared to be out of date.
In the meantime, the OGG format is told to be acceptable too in a slideshow.
So I'll have to reconsider this report.

Haven't checked. I must admit, but I reported about different behaviour with OGG files,
and since this format is integrated, I supposed it would be the same as using an MP3.
