    Requested Show the histogram

It would be nice to show the histogram (Luminosity, Red, Green, and Blue) in EXIF Info window.

Why not. But afaik the EXIF extension is a set of described extra information to a picture and if there's no such function,
it isn't possible. It's certainly something IV can't do anything about it.

Histogram is a great way to evaluate the contrast problems an image has. I think the original poster wanted to see histogram of the current image, much like the Count Colors field works, and not "an EXIF" property written during the aquisition of the image.

        You're probably right.

That's best done in a plugin, see for example easyfilter's smartcurve plugin.

This plugin looks good. Thank you.

                add controls to histogram?

Perhaps it would be good to add three slider controls to the histogram that control a new 100%, 50% and 0% threshold value for the image (as is present in micrographics picture publisher).

This would allow to prepare scanned images to print to a printer without lightgrey smear in the paper output and non-black text. The contrast enhancement in the image enhance dialog is not very adequate for this purpose.
