    Requested MDI format

Our beloved Irfanview handles almost any image format under the sun !

However, recently I found out, that Irfanview is not able to handle the format MDI ( Microsoft Document Image) which is used by Microsoft with MSOffice 2003 onwards.

Since I had 2000 version of MSOffice, I had to look around and finally found a free MDI viewer programme on the net which I then installed and could view the file.

Request that the feature of MDI image format handling may pl. be included in the next version of IRFANVIEW.

    Thanks and Regards.

That would be very helpful for a lot of people, but it might not be easy.

    Rant:
Microrot's proprietary formats are notoriously troublesome. People should know better than to assume that they can freely share something made with MS software, but so many never learn. You can get free viewers from M for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, but their tender concern stops there. I have more than once had to take Publisher files to the library to crack.

Everyone should complain and ask people to convert things into usable formats. It is Microshaft's shame.
    Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"
