    Windows E-mail Attachments

I can't open some attachments I receive using Windows Mail. I get a notice that tells me: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing the action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel"

I can find no such selection in the control panel. If I file the attachment to desktop and open it, I get the program "Microsoft XML Converter" as the suggestion.

Where do I go from here? I have an HP computer with 4GB RAM and Windows Home Premium.

    Thanks.

    TIMOTHY

In Vista select "Default Programs" then "Associate a file type or protocol with a program"

If you get a message such as this, the first course of action should be to search for the words (in this instance try "Set Associations control panel") in Google. That will get you a much quicker answer than this forum.
