    JPG quality

    Hello,
I really like the ease of use in in Irfanview, but I have a problem with the JPG quality. Even when the quality is on it's best (100) and "save as progressive JPG" is marked, still the quality is lower compared to the original (and is very much visible...)
When I save pictures in the photoshop, even level 8 out of 12 is better than the Irfanview output. Of course Irfanview is much faster, so is there a way to save those JPGs in high quality?

    Thanks!
    Tom

    Visible....?

Have you disabled color subsampling? This is the only artifact I've encountered that can be perceived on photographic images at normal zoom levels.
