After that I installed the forum software on a new, fresh Debian system with the latest security updates. Please report any error- messages, database error- messages, missing links and so on
I'm trying to fix that as soon as possible.
By upgrading to the latest vbulletin version i got an error message randomly. Some database table is not existing (a "long" time) but this will be investigated by the vbulletin support team!
The fairly obvious feature that we have lost in this vbulletin is any indication of what the forum is about. Only on the first page does it even mention Irfanview.
Is it possible to have a banner again on each page to show those less familiar with the site that this is the Irfanview forum?
Please remember also a request from german user Clara long time ago, which I've forwarded to you!

What I see now is a huge masthead taking up 140 vertical pixels of the web page. Definitely needs something much smaller or at least not so high. There is room there for a 60 pixel high image.
I've been having problems with the forum for quite a while. It displays wrong a lot of the time, and not only in one browser but several. Today I clicked on a thread and several times got a message about "no thread selected." I used the "newest post" link and got in anyway, and now the thread is working either way. Since I clear my cache and cookies fairly often and that makes little or no difference, I believe that the forum might be slightly unwell. Has anyone else seen odd symptoms?
