Display bug when using alpha-blending on 2nd monitor

I have a quick question about the alpha blending option... it works fine for me on my primary monitor at 1680x1050 (only when in fullscreen of course, but that's how I prefer it anyway).

However, when I use this fade mode in fullscreen on my secondary monitor (1920x1080) I get an odd effect when it transitions between images. The new image fades in too high up the screen, leaving the bottom 20 or 30 pixels remaining as the old image (the width appears to be OK). Once the transition effect is complete, the new picture "snaps" into its correct location, filling the screen correctly. Same thing happens with each new transition on the secondary display.

Any thoughts, has anyone else seen this?
