simple key press to inadvertently modify image

    Hi,

as it is, is it possible while viewing full screen to press for example L to rotate the image and for the image to be saved modified at that very moment without further dialogs?

If not, is there a way to set it up to work that way?

And if that's not possible, is there a chance something like that might be appealing to more users and could possibly be added in the future vesions?

After L in fullscreen-mode press Ctrl-S to open the save-dialog.

I see. But these automatisms always carry risks with it, because one could easily loose the original in the playing-around process..

Yes, one of the things I like about I-V is that I can play around a lot without losing anything. I don't think there are many who want to destroy an image by accidentally dropping a pen on the keyboard.

An automatic save only can be safe, if it's a tempfile concept which is executed every now and then, independent of edit-actions.
