Reported GIF files not working in Slideshow

GIF files work in a Slideshow when "Play Slideshow" is clicked in the Slideshow creation window, but not when the .exe file icon is clicked to open it.

I suspect that animated gifs are not supported in exe or scr slideshow executables.

Thank you for your response. I could not get into my profile to add the requested information because Google Chrome blocked it because it can't verify a security certificate for irfanview-forum.de. However, my OS is XP Pro 32-bit and IV version 4.36. I would like to learn more about a possible work-around for this issue.

Make sure your computer is set to the correct date. A common cause of browsers thinking that the security certificate is invalid.
