Fixed Changing EXIF date sets EXIF tag "Orientation" to "Top Left"

    Hello,

i changed the EXIF date of JPEG photos:
Options -> change JPG EXIF date/time -> set time to desired value.

Result: EXIF time is changed as expected, that's a nice new feature, but also the EXIF tag "Orientation" is set to "Top Left", regardless of its former value. It is a bit annoying, when the former tag was set to "Left bottom" or something, as one has to rotate the pictures again...
IMHO changing EXIF time should not affect the other tags.

    Regards,
    Bernhard

I can confirm that this happens when this new feature is used. I would go beyond "annoying" and say that it is unacceptable.

For some reason I can't reproduce this, no matter what I try. It works as it should, doesnt touch the exif orientation tag.

It seems that this problem has already been solved in August. See http://www.irfanview.com/plugins.htm, "JPG Transform Plugin (4.37) - Installer or ZIP - Orientation tag fix on EXIF-Date change". At least with my pictures, V4.37 now works as expected.
I just found this by accident. I didn't expect interim updates, but every programmer has a different update policy.
