Fixed Windows 10 + irfanView 64 bit: crashes when opening files from UNC paths

    hi!

    setup:
    windows 10 RTM 64 bit
    iview 4.4 64 bit

when i try to open a file by clicking it from within windows 10 explorer on a UNC path, irfanView 4.4 64 bit crashes.

specifically: nothing seems to happen. but when i open iview manually and drag and drop a jpg in to irfanview from a UNC path, it crashes instantly.
it works fine when i open a local file, or from a mapped UNC share.
also, when i use iview's file-open feature and browse to the UNC path within iview, files open as they should.

the 32 bit version does not seem affected.

    anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have Windows 10 here, and don't use Network drives or Universal Network Paths. Someone else might, but if you can reproduce the crash, I suggest sending a bug report directly to Irfan. His email is in Help, About.

Please let us know what he says.

Irfan sent me this test version. Let us know your results.

Updated the attachment to include the Effect.dll plugin for 64-bit to fix another bug.

I was able to reproduce the crash on my Win7-64 system. Dragging a JPG from my Network-Storage into the window crashes the application.

The issue is fixed in the zipped test version.

This also fixes the problem of running 64 bit IrfanView in Windows Server 2008 R2 Citrix environment, that extensively uses network paths.
