When I try to install IrfanView 4.50 (32 bit) by double-clicking on the installer and choosing to install for "all users", it proceeds to the end and said it installed successfully (without ever prompting me for admin privileges). When I then run IrfanView, my old version (4.44) is still installed. v4.50 installer (for all users) works correctly if I initiate installation with elevated privileges (right-click and "run as admin"). In previous versions, when trying to install for all users and you did not have privileges, a warning dialogue box appeared:
---------------------------
IrfanView 32-bit Setup
---------------------------
Can't install all files!
Please close all running IrfanView instances and check your destination directory for free space or write protection!
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
The warning above does NOT happen on version 4.50 32 bit version when trying to install for all users and you don't have privileges to do so. I did NOT try the 64 bit version to see if it has the same problem.
