I make a lot of use of F8 and F7. I use a subdirectory under the current directory.
For Example: if in F:\Arcadia\0425, I use the previously inserted .\extra in the subdirectory menu to get F:\Arcadia\0425\extra
This normally works and the underlying extra is created if it does not exist.
However I sometimes find that after a few usages in one directory I get the message extra\extra cannot be created.
If I exit the directory and reopen it the error on that file still exists. I have checked that the file does not exist in the extra subdirectory. (I normally get file exists messages anyway if they do exist). Sometimes it comes good again after opening nd closing Ifanview.
I also have tried ./extra to no avail.
I have just updated to latest Irfanview and get the same trouble. Perhaps a stack overflow!
