According to the help file, there doesn't seem to be a command-line option for progressive encoding. This usually produces a slightly smaller file at the expense of decoding speed.

I don't know about using command lines.

FYI: For dialogs with few colours PNG format is smaller and better quality than a half-sized gif or an image compressed with JPG transformation. I switched your half-size gif image for a full sized PNG and the file size on disk was the smaller.

Getting file as small as possible

When using the GUI I use this to optimize the file size:

Using the command line I use to optimize: /ini=%APPDATA%\IrfanView/jpg_rotate=(0,1,1,0,0,0,0,0)

But it isn't as small as the GUI. I can poke the ini file. How do I get it as small when using the command line?
