when an image is altered and then saved as new file, IrfanView does not update its file list. So, to have the file in the internal file list, you have to press F5 to update the list. Otherwise, IrfanView would not show the new file.
I'd like to have the file list updated automatically. For old and slow computers it might be useful to have this function unset as an option in the preferences.
