The built-in photo viewer on Vista ("Windows Photo Gallery") allows me to easily set the number of stars and the caption for a photo.
This is useful because it is supported elsewhere, eg. this information shows up in my Windows Explorer view (if the folder is configured for photos). It is also supported by Flickr: when I upload photos the caption I entered in Windows is displayed online.
I don't know where/how it sets these values, but it would be great if IrfanView could do the same thing.
