EXIF Change not possible

Hello!
I am trying to change EXIF data of scanned pictures.
The option is greyed out in the Plugin.
It seems that Ifranview cannot add EXIF data if there is none. Why?
What can I do?

Exif support is limited in IrfanView. Use another program if you want to manipulate it.

Did you try Options/Create new JPG EXIF data... (PlugIn) ?
