Hi there,
First of all let me say ...I love irfanview. Great program for quickly browsing images, and the batch processing options are great. It opens images far faster on my equipment than most other programs. I've been a fan of it for years and use it daily to display screenshots of spreadsheets etc, that I need to reference when working in other spreadsheets where switching back and forth would be inconvenient and for trimming screenshots to only what is needed for the instruction being conveyed and then just copying and pasting that ...into an email or document as needed.
I applaud the developer for the prowess and understanding the functionality of this program reflects.
Something I frequently need to do is send photos to a client in their choice of color space. Many corporations insist on getting everything in a single color space so their automated programs for posting to their websites and internal sites can interpret them all the same way, and unfortunately its different strokes for different folks and they want the color profile embedded in the file. A couple of examples would be Adobe 98 or srgb IEC61966-2.1.
Most often the originals are TIF files, having been processed in Photoshop and saved as TIFs so they can be used in automated posting programs etc. that we have.
Using the batch option in irfanview I can select them in their home folder and process them into jpgs of the desired size and ppi, then after that they get converted via Photoshop, to the client's choice of color space, thereby making it a two step, two program process.
Is there a way to specify a different color space in irfanview and do that as a one step process?
