Greetings!
I have been a big fan of IV since around 2001 when I happily embraced it as my system's default image viewer, mainly because of the wonderful thumbnail/browser feature
This current bug that crashes the browser has made it unworkable in my work flow and I've now introduced the (another) viewer which has an excellent browser and will also happily work in tandem with IV - although I notice my IV is now being used less and less
Anyway, to the point of this posting:
I have discovered that IV's browser will not crash if - when in 'tree' view' - the TAB key is held down while clicking on the desired folder for viewing
I have thrashed the browser every-which-way in conjunction with the TAB function...and have not been able to crash it
