    Information: Comments

    Infanview 4 (and 3.95..) (w2k, jpg files).
In MS Explorer one can add comments to files that are visible
when listing files. In Infanview you can se this comments when opening Image->information->Comments.
If you add a comment here it will not be visible in MSExplorer
and you can end up with 2 diffrent comments???
If one tryes to replace a comment to a picture from Infanview with a comment previous set in MSexplorer it will vipe it out????

A 'Comment' (press i in IV) is not a standard issue. It can be a benefit or just a disadvantage, depending of the way you want to use them. Some viewers call them 'Keywords' or 'Descriptions'. It depends on the 'policy' of the software-developer witch choice he makes. If you want to input info to an image that can be seen in all grownup viewers, you'd better not use Comment, but rather use IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council). That's a standaard for adding a lot of parameters to your images. The 'Comment'-input of IV can be seen in most viewers, but it's common knowledge that the MS company always tries to pull things to themselves and never uses the saying 'live and let live'.
