PNG Batch Conversion to Grayscale (24bit) with original transparency?

I am trying to batch convert about 260 color PNGs to 24BPP grayscale, and KEEP original transparency.. but it pops up on each one asking which color to make transparent..
So my question is this..
is it possible to find what pixels are transparent BEFORE converting to greyscale, and make those same pixels transparent AFTER converting to grayscale?

Unfortunately, no. Keeping transparency is not supported and can be tricky when editing, but there may be hope.

If you know what the transparent color is, and hopefully it is the same for all images, you could use the /transpcolor=(r,g,b) command line switch.
