Using 64 bit version 4.54 on Windows10 Pro.
Have copied a GIF image from a Firefox window (Did file open from Firefox menu. Then right click-Copy image). Then trying to do /clippaste /convert=c:\screenshot.gif. to save as a temp file.
From command line: "C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view64.exe" /clippaste /convert=c:\screenshot.gif
But writing file does not work. Get message that "GIF Save error. Can't open file for writing "c:\screenshot.gif"
Get similar result with a JPG file, but GIF also prompts for transparency color also.
Found nothing on forum with similar problem.
Also tried from IrfanView panel, both 32 and 64. Process beeps like complete, but no error message, and NO saved file. Option to show image in Main Window works, but does not save a file.
