Solved Fit to Screen - How it can be missing?

    Hi,

I am using IrfanView from over 10 years now. It is a great fast piece of software.

However, I can't figure out one thing and this makes me search for alternatives at this point.

When I open image of higher resolution than my screen has. Image opens in 1:1 ratio and is being zoomed into. I can't stand it.

I would like every image with resolution equal of bigger than my screen's to be fit and fully seen.
All the images smaller in resolution than my screen to be in 1:1 ratio. Meaning, not stretched, but with black frame.

I don't think these expectations are very sophisticated...

    Thank you for help,
    DS

If you have been using IrfanView for over 10 years, how can you not know how to change the View options?

View menu, Display options, Fit only big images to window.

The fullscreen option is recommended (No 2) in Settings, Fullscreen/Slideshow, Shortcut 2.

The function exists for along time.

View -> Display Options -> Fit Only Big Images to Window

      For full screen viewing:

Settings -> Full Screen / Slideshow -> Fit to screen: large images only

        Thanks for quick replies!

Am I blind or sth? There is no View tab, neither Display Options.

        I have utterly different options.

It worked in the past, but not for the last 2 or 3 years.
