How to stop IrfanView from displaying non-graphic files?

I'm pretty sure there's a setting that causes IrfanView to NOT display files like TXT, PDF, etc... but I can't find it in the Properties/Settings popup. Can someone help me find that setting?

OP: does it work for you? I've been using Irfanview for >20 years - always the latest version - and I always select 'Images only', but I still have the same problem as you do/did.

It's quite annoying when going through a folder with mixed content.

Run IrfanView as Administrator once and try to do the settings.
          My system: IrfanView 4.62 64bit, Windows 10 22H2, Intel Core i5-3570, 16GB RAM, NVidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB

I am the Administrator. I followed your suggestion anyway (Run as administrator) but it makes no difference. BTW I'm using Irfanview 32-bit in Windows 7 x64.

Make sure "Load only associated types" is selected. Check the list of file types that only desired file types are selected.

                Now that works, thanks.
It would spare many users a lot of grief if "Load only associated types" were made the default setting.

Yes, the solution from JazzMan was spot on.
