Crop and paste where?

I scanned a small card and would like to have an image of JUST that card at the original size and not the entire frame which is mostly black. I looked at the Help topics and can't find what to do after I Cut or Select as to where I can paste just that image without the whole Irfanview screen. The reason is that I want to send just that image and not all the rest.

Select the area you want to keep and in the menu use Edit - Crop selection

After I edit and crop it, WHAT do I do? Where and how do I paste it or create a named file that I can use for uploading?

After cropping the selection, only the selected part of the picture remains in the window and you can save it.
