IrfanView always asks for TWAIN interface

IrfanView ALWAYS asks for Twain interface. Even after selecting the Twain source, IrfanView asks every single time for the interface. I enter network and the IP is stored, but next time it asks again, and I have to click "OK" and then it works.
Any idea?

IrfanView always asks me to choose if I have not powered on my scanner. If it is switched on and ready to go, I can start scanning at once.

The scanner is always on as it is a multi function device, which is connected via network with a static IP

I use a multifunction HP printer and once I select the Twain source in "File/Select Scan/TWAIN Source..." it never asks for it in "File/Acquire/Batch scanning... Ctrl+Shift+A" or in:

i_view32.exe /batchscan=(scanfile,1,1,2,1,%homepath%\Desktop,pdf ,1)

Are you using 32 bit IrfanView?
