I have been getting an error message, "Error reading MPImage2 from file" from ExifTool about .jpg files which I have used IrfanView's lossless rotation command. On the ExifTool forum I have been told that the "MPF trailer" has been totally removed from the files. I have in the past had IrfanView remove or damage IPTC meta-data, and have had to be sure to not use it on files that I have tagged.
Two questions:
1) Is it correct to blame IfranView for this?
2) Is there a work-around, if that is the case?
