The operating system did not assign letter B to your disk, you did this manually (but you shouldn't). There is nothing to be fixed, I wouldn't report this as a "problem".

Perhaps upload an original sample to https://filebin.net/, Dropbox or some similar service (that does not change images in any way), so we don't have to guess. Could be a colour profile issue.

The keyboard shortcut E is the quickest way to see, whether an image has geolocation data embedded, as far as I know. Metadata-related improvements in IrfanView would be welcome, but I can't see any...
"Resizing an image often leads to a loss of sharpness, so it is common practice to sharpen the image again after having resized it."*
In IrfanView Effect browser, I would try different sharpening...
E opens Exif Info, Alt-M launches Google Maps. Very straightforward, superfast with a keyboard.
I have obtained two samples from raw.pixls.us, hero5 and hero8. None of my Windows image viewers can display the photos. Unlike many other raw photo formats, gpr does not contain an embedded jpeg...
IrfanView can only write IPTC data to jpeg files. Writing to WebP would require XMP-support. I have quit waiting for this some time ago, now I am using more capable tools to edit metadata.
(For...
It also opens distorted in Gimp 2.10.12 and XnViewMP.
With Ghostscript (GS) actually installed, IrfanView can read the location from the registry. If you have GS only extracted to some directory, you have to manually set the "custom" path of gsdll64.dll...
I would also try this:
Left button click ... in the upper left or right screen corner = close full screen.
Some free viewers can display the embedded jpeg preview. No free/open source editor can open the raw photo.

A single positive - and from Yandex - while all the reputable services see no problem, this is a normal result,...
I would compare IrfanView's rendering to some other colour managed program like FastStone or XnViewMP or GIMP. IrfanView's colour management is, by my experience, quite robust and reliable. (But I'm...
(By the way, the Edge browser also allows visiting this site, when it - the site - is in the "unsafe" mode.)
I also can not reproduce this.
There is no way to add custom toolbar buttons, you could, I believe, find many old threads about this, but I wouldn't expect this to change soon, if ever. There are very many (unchangeable) keyboard...
Pressing "E" will take you to EXIF data directly, then "Alt-M" to Google Maps or "Alt-O" to OpenStreet, etc., if you don't mind using the keyboard. "Esc" closes EXIF Info.
(I'm not familiar with the subject, so don't take my words too seriously.)
Some old 8bf plugins work in compatibility mode in IrfanView-64 via the 32-bit plugin loader (Stub_Plugin.exe). One can...
I only have five "installed" and rarely use them, but these do work fine with 64-bit IrfanView:

The "Insert Speech Bubbles" effect disappears, when language is set to English (British), and comes back with English. ENGLISH_GB.DLL is still 4.51.
Same thing with Add Shadow ... Same thing with...
I would also mention Inkscape, probably the most capable open-source tool for vector graphic.
In what format your images are? Could you provide a sample?
For editing raw images, I would suggest two advanced, very capable open source editors, darktable and RawTherapee. And LightZone, which lacks some advanced features, but is still a very nice program.
