    Thanks, but I guess I'll have to wait ... My W7 computers need 64b .. And I've rolled back my XP computers to IV 4.38 and they need the all plugins since I'm running customized icons.

      You don't actually need to use 64-bit IrfanView on 64-bit Windows. You can use either or both.

      Here is the test version for 64-bit.

      The 32-bit version has resolved the issue for me:

      1. I rebooted
      2. I installed the test version
      3. I associated JPG with FastStone Viewer
      4. I associated JPG with Irfan View 32-bit again

      The icons are back to normal.

            IV Version 4.41 seems to have fixed this problem in my XP(32) and W7(64) (Release date: 2015-11-29) .... Many Thanks
