Ftype and Assoc are confused and confusing me
at the cmd prompt, "assoc .jpg" shows ".gif=irfanview.jpg" and "ftype irfanview.jpg" shows me 'irfanview.jpg="C:\Program Files (x86)\IrfanView\i_view32.exe" "%1" '
YET, when I enter at the prompt "start somefile.jpg" Windows Gallery displays the file?
Interestingly, "assoc .gif" shows ".gif=irfanview.gif" and "ftype irfanview.gif" also shows 'irfanview.jpg="C:\Program Files (x86)\IrfanView\i_view32.exe" "%1" '
AND, when I enter "start somefile.jpg" Irfanview displays the file, as expected.
What's going on?
