I'm trying to use the command line to merge multiple, single-page tiff files into a multi-page tiff. I'm using something like:
infile1.tif and infile2.tif both use JPEG compression and are set to 8bpp, but the result of this in outfile.tif is JPEG compressed but 24bpp. I can't see any other obvious command line options to help (I tried gray, but that says it operates on the input, which is already greyscale). Can anyone suggest anything?
