    Reported ACSII Symbols in Save and Save as dialogs

    Good day!
    The server where IrfanView is installed as default image viewer has locale for non-unicode software as RU;
    When trying to create a folder under IrfanView user gets unreadable ASCII chars when using russian keyboard layout;
    Is it a bug or something else? Screenshot is attached.

    Is this the 64-bit version of IrfanView? The unicode plugin handles this (settings -> language), bur it wasn't ported to 64-bit yet, so it only works with 32-bit version.
    IrfanView 4.62 64-bit

      Does not seem to handle... Took a PC, install IV 4.44 with all the plugins and a russian language addon, checked up 'load unicode plugin' checkbox in language settings and still no changes.
      It seems like the plugin handles just the filenames, no the "Save As" dialog.

        For me, opening and saving works with a folder, containing latin accented letters (č, ž, ü), folder wirh a cyrillic name (Славой Жижек) and folder with a Chinese name (斯拉沃熱·齊澤克). IV 4.44 32-bit on a Windows 10/64-bit laptop, nothing else at hands.

        Which OS are you using? (Please, fill in the OS and IV version data in your user profile.)

          У меня тоже такая проблема уже в течение нескольких лет на разных версиях IrfanView. По-видимому это из-за того, что IrfanView - не юникодное приложение. Для решения этой проблемы я использую подстановку символов на Autohotkey.
