    How to change INI file location after installation?

    I myself had earlier asked this question years ago, and was given a reply

    I was asked to add this line in ini file.
    [Others]
    INI_Folder=%APPDATA%\IrfanView

    I think this method has worked so far, but now, on installing 4.44 64 bit on w10, it is not working.

    adding this line to ini file doesn't reflect in tools-properties itself.

    hence, starting a new thread on the same.

    How to change INI file location after installation?

    And why is it so complicated? When ini file location is displayed in properties, why isn't there an option right there to change its location? Keep It Simple.

    Thanks.
