Default drag/drop a file to iview window doesn't open it

I selected a png file in folder, and dragged/dropped it to iview window.

    That didn't open it.

I had to use file-open or click on open icon to go all the way through folders to find that and open that. then it opened.

What is this bug? A known format should have openened in it on drag-drop

    Thanks.

Unable to reproduce here. Files open just fine with drag and drop or double-click.

Are you really still using Irfanview 4.36
The feature you want was not introduced until 4.40
