Need to resize images in batch mode to 96x96 pixels with a size of 10k or less

Hello,
I'm a brand new user, and I need to change hundreds of jpg files to a size of 96 by 96 pixels, with a size of 10k or less, lossless compression. Is it possible to do this with Irfanview?

It will help if you can provide more information about the original images you want to process:

• do they all have the exact same size?
• are they all square shaped?
• if not do you want a square cut-out from the centre, e.g. a 500x500 cut-out from a 500x1000 rectangular original?
• are they graphics with few colours or are they photographs?
