Thanks Bhikkhu. Very confusing because the link that I received by email, as a thread that I had contributed to, took me to a copy of the thread before you had merged it (which I had not actually contributed to). When I searched for the thread that had the fix in it (and linked to it in my reply) it turned out to be the merged version which now contained the thread I was replying to as part of it.

IrfanView 4.51 is the latest version, and it fixes this issue among others.
