The batch progress dialog is unresponsive during conversion of large files, especially to PNG format, which is relatively slow. The Stop button is only acted upon after the current file is done converting. If I press the button 2-3 times, the window goes into (not responding) state, and getting it to register button presses is hard then; it will likely go on to convert one or a few more files. If the window of Irfan is alt-tabbed, it will only display once the current file is done.
JPEG works better, the conversion is much faster, and the window, while still frozen, which is not great, never shows to Windows that it is (not responding).
Stop should interrupt the conversion as soon as possible and the incomplete file should be either kept or deleted. The conversion should happen in a separate thread from the UI, at a lower priority (currently 8/normal).
