Solved Exif Data Appears on Overlay Text

New problem - and this didn't happen during my 2-weeks-ago session:

    a) I open an image, and rename to produce a caption I want
    b) I open the 'overlay text' window (CTRL-T)
    c) The overlay window opens pre-set with 'Text' codes of $F and $T, as I used previously, to give me a top-of-photo caption with the file name, and the 'taken' date and time on the next line
    d) I click on 'Preview', and see the correct captioning at top of photo - but now also see the same caption, plus date & time, and what I assume is a bunch of additional EXIF data, splattered across the BOTTOM of the image.

I've been staring at the options this morning and trying a bunch of changes to my settings, and have no clue what's causing this. I only want the TOP caption - that is, filename and date/time below.

And this was how it worked two weeks ago...what's different now?

    Thanks - Dave

Figured it out: the visible portion of the 'text' window, within the 'add overlay text to image', is TINY compared with what can be entered within it. In my case, a whole lot of experimental and extraneous stuff was buried somehow way down where I couldn't see it. Deleted...done.
