Some people managing pictures would also like to read their metadata, and edit some metadata elements.
The EXIF date/hour management add-on is a nice start in this direction.
I suggest adding a GUI module next to the image, e.g. a panel on a side of the main window.
To manage metadata, I strongly recommend ExifTool, a command line program constantly enhanced by Phil Harvey:
Only some metadata elements need to be editable: date/hour, author/creator, keywords... These are stored in EXIF, IPTC and XMP containers.
Metadata stored in proprietary containers do not have to be edited, in my opinion.
By default, ExifTools protects metadata elements, according to their criticallity, and coordinates redundant metadata elements.
Kind regards,
Jeff
