Default Videos Less Sharp After Windows Update

Today a Windows 10 update was installed on my machine. After that, I have this issue: videos are less sharply displayed. I think it is not caused by Irfanview but by some Windows setting. Question: does this look familiar to other users? And, is there something that can be done about this?

See Settings, Video/Sound. Are you using the internal or external player? Change it to see if it makes any difference.

I changed to external player. Now the video is sharp. But I'm missing the F-keys like F2 to edit title; F7 to copy/move files, etc. That's a pity.
