I agree that the specific configuration s/b mentioned in the free form text of any given post - but as far as the profile is concerned, it would be nice to indicate what level of IrfanView exposure/experience one has on any given machine that s/he has frequent access to (which is what it supposedly does now), but to include multiple OS's as some of us use multiple computers w/ varying operating systems & even with different levels of IrfanView. Wouldn't it be possible to just replicate the option line(s) for entering in the OS, etc., so that one could indicate more than one? (Hope this makes sense...)

On the spot it makes sense and I would agree with that. But this has logical consequences.
If more than 1 OS is possible in the profile section, then why not more than 1 IV version too ?
All kinds of combinations are possible, so this can easily lead to a confusing mess.
It think it stays the most elegant to declare the most updated main setting to be used in the profile,
and mention other circumstances in the specific post.Comment
