I think all you have to do is make sure the 'disable user' options aren't selected when you save as PDF during conversion.

When I 'save as', I don't see an opportunity to uncheck any 'disable user' options. I will keep looking - it's probably right under my nose.

Uncheck "Activate Security" on the "Security" Tab.
No Security means no encryption means no owner password...

Yes, it was there once I paid attention to look for it. Is that a new feature or was I just lucky all this time that I have used older versions of the software?
