I am using "E," but the slideshow keeps looping. Consequently, before I can use the mouse or keys to point to the path of extraction in the folder window that pops out, the highlight has moved back to the looping pics. What do I do now?

If the delay on the slides is 1 second or more you should be able to capture them using IrfanView's automatic screen capture (C). If its less than that, I guess you're stuck.

I will try the "C." If not, then I have to use a 3rd-party utility.

            Thanks for the reply.

Press the Pause key to stop it then press E.

You can also show the mouse cursor using F11. Even if the dialog loses focus and highlighting, you should be able to still click on its elements as many times as necessary to accomplish the task (your choice is remembered). Pause though, is the ideal choice for proper feedback.

The capture screen and pause keys worked, but the F11 key to show mouse didn't. Wonder why... Anyway, I was able to extract the images from the slideshow. Thanks to all your suggestions.
