Solved Logitech G9 mouse and scrolling

I've got an irritaiting problem with IrfanView v4.23 and Logitech SetPoint for G9 laser mouse.

While i'm trying to zoom in a picture it zooms out, while i try to zoom out it zooms out. So the problem is zooming in. It appearead AFTER installing the SetPoint driver (or whatever it is) while the IrfanView was already installed.

If anyone knows how to solve the problem, please reply in this thread.

But don't say that i should uninstall SetPoint, i need it.

    Hi swistaq,

Are you using the mouse wheel for zooming? Here the wheel either skips to the previous/next image or scrolls the image but doesn't zoom. Probably I am missing one setting so I am unable to reproduce your problem.

        Thanks Bhikkhu.

Well, swistaq, zooming in and out are working fine here.
I saw some FAQs on Logitech website. Maybe some might be useful to you.

right i forgot to say that i'm using the ctrl+scroll combination

          logitech FAQ was usless

          any ideas?

          EDIT

after closing the SetPoint2 program everything works fine, so the problem is caused by it

i threw it out from autostart, i think it's the only way to solve this problem

            Hi swistaq,

You are speaking of SetPoint2. On Logitech website I see there is a download for

            SetPoint 5.0
            Software Version: v5.00 build 175
            Post Date: 8/31/2007

Maybe an upgrade could solve your problem?

                Works for me

I have a Logitech G7 Laser Mouse with "Control Center version" and "Driver version" of 4.60.122 which is the latest for my mouse.

Mouse wheel zooming works fine, in Irfanview 4.20.

Try going into SetPoint and hitting all the Restore Defaults.

If nothing else works, try setting up SetPoint to do custom buttons for Irfanview.

Control Center is for Mac OS

i thought it'll be fine if i turn off SetPoint2 but without it some mouse funcions don't work.... stupid programe

I've solved the problem. If I set the vertical scrolling to 1 it works fine. Then i can change the scrolling speed in windows settings and the scrolling will be adjustable and zooming in works fine.

                    Thank for your help.
