WoW, that is the most comprehensive list of Browsers I have seen in one place! Great Research, Frank!

At www.welloiledpc.com/browser.htm, we have reviewed 13 Windows-based Browsers, with links to reviews of each of these 13 Browsers.

We haven't been able to decide which Browser is the Best, but the online poll on the page indicates that Firefox is way ahead! If you want a more robust answer, check out http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp - they track Browser and OS usage very comprehensively and authoritatively!

Were Firefox almost at 50% everywhere it would be a better world... as they state on w3schools:
W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to use Internet Explorer, since it comes preinstalled with Windows. Most do not seek out other browsers.

These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is used by at least 80% of the users.

Hi MItaly, Firefox is definitely preferable, if you are a Web Developer/ SEO/ Security specialist. I use Firefox too!

However, for people who merely want to browse their favorite sites, there are much faster and simpler Browsers - Avant, Orca, TheWorld, etc.

Apple Safari is a wonderful Browser too - those who come from the Mac world would, I am sure, look at nothing else!

You have a number of Social Networking fiends these days - people who spend all their time at Facebook, Twitter and other sites. Such people are likely to prefer Flock, for its built-in Social Networking features.

People who have used Opera swear by it. In terms of loyalty, Opera I think commands more loyalty than even Firefox! Of course, the number of people using Opera is very small, compared to Firefox users, but "Once an Opera user, always an Opera user" seems to be the case with a much larger proportion of Opera users!

Maxthon is again a very interesting and underrated Browser. True, it does not have the lovely looks of Safari or Flock...

I think we are likely to witness two major wars in the next 1 to 2 years: a Search Engine War and a Browser War! Let's all just sit back and relax - for, every time such a thing happens, the consumer gets a better product for a cheaper price!

Vivaldi for Windows, Mac, and Linux is now up to Snapshot versions for 1.3. After a year and four months since the initial release, it's beginning to look good, but still a tad slow and buggy in some areas.

The browser is being developed by a team lead by Jon von Tetzchner, the founder of Opera. It promises to become a replacement for the old Opera browser, highly customisable and with a built-in email client (should be included by version 2.0). It uses the Chrome/Blink rendering engine.

    This is my review page.

There is also Otter Browser under development (current stable version Beta10 as of May 1st, 2016, weekly builds) :

"Otter Browser aims to recreate the best aspects of the classic Opera (12.x) UI"

    http://otter-browser.org/

I'm using it in parallel to Opera 11.52
