Viewing layers in PSD files using Irfanview?

Is there a way to be able to "take apart" a PSD file to view the separate layers? I've looked and could not find it. But then again my version of Irfanview is 3.85 so do not know if that capability is in 4.00.

I know that PSD files can be viewed but wanted to be able to view the different layers in a picture when I know there are some in the pic.

    Thanks!

IrfanView needs a dialog that would allow to choose a layer from the input file. From PSP files it also reads just the background.

AFAIK, it is not possible to do that at the moment. A dialog would be convenient.

IV may read only the background of PSP files, it does read all the layers of PSD (Photoshop) files. So perhaps it should be possible to read layer by layer, about the same as it reads multipage TIF images.

I believe the picture Irfan reads from Photoshop files is the prerendered sum of all layers that is (so inefficiently) stored in all PSDs.
