File extention Correction....

I'm continuously amazed by irfanview's ability to correctly rename file extensions. However. Every time it crosses a file that needs correction, the attention is shifted to whatever window that is behind irfanview instead of the dialog box. It would be extreamly helpful if it would focus on the dialog box then re-focus on the viewer when a selection is made.

Furthermore, Is there an option/script that can go through a directory and automatically rename improper file extensions. That would be most helpful.

You could get TrID. It's infallible with images, use a simple batchfile.
