One previous thread discussed support for GeoTIFF files ( GeoTiff Request from a year ago ). These are TIFF files with additional geographic information (georeferenced TIFF files). Currently, IrvfanView 4.25, is not writing all the tags to a file for something relative benign (or innocent) as in saving a TIFF from uncompressed to LZW compressed.
It seems only natural that a file conversion should preserve all the original tags? I could see an additional entry into the TIFF options dialog box that asks if the user would like to retain the original TIFF tags.
