Default Batch rename - filename with first space with ", "

    Hello,

Is there a way I could batch rename my files replacing the first space with ", "

    eg "Smith Mary [1898 - 1965]" to "Smith, Mary [1898 - 1965]"

    Thanks

Try the Multi rename tool in FreeCommander. It has a Search and Replace function that lets you change the first occurance of a string, such as in your example.

Most of the other file renamers on the web will do the job as well, plus far exceed the basic renaming capability of IrfanView.
